LINDSAY LOHAN'S CHOICE OF REHAB CENTER IS, OBVIOUSLY, A PROBLEM

The dwindling population of Lindsay Lohan apologists was holding strong to this latest inception of the 26-year-old actress' rehabilitation program. Following a recent court appearance over an episode of reckless driving, Lohan was sentenced to undertake a stint in a locked rehab facility for a period of 90 days, which she kicked off on Thursday. Those sustaining faith in the reformation of the uninhibited Long Islander cheered: This is it! She's taking steps to better herself! Everything's comin' up Lohan!

But no. Turns out the rehab center into which she checked isn't exactly going over too well with the courts.

Yahoo! News reports that a prosecutor in the Lohan case has taken issue with the center in question — Morningside Recovery — claiming that it was not the Southern California facility upon which the legal teams agreed and that it has not been approved as a credible institution.

In response to the prosecution's allegations, Lohan's attorney Mark Jay Heller said (ever so poetically), "My client is ensconced in the bosom of that facility right now ... She's in rehab right now. Nothing bad is going to happen," and urged Superior Court Judge James R. Dabney to approve of the facility.

While Dabney seemed to deem Morningside an acceptable rehabilitation program, he agreed to withhold a decision upon whether or not to transfer Lohan to a separate facility until Santa Monica Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White has had time to investigate her present surroundings.

And so, even in her efforts to rid herself of substance problems and develop a clean legal record on top of a new reputation, Lohan stirs the pot. But hey, she's in rehab for alcohol, not bein' wacky!

REESE WITHERSPOON PLEADS NO CONTEST: WATCH VIDEO OF HER ARREST!

Proving that one mistake does not ruin a career, Reese Witherspoonhandled her recent brush with the law with grace and aplomb on Thursday.

On April 19, Witherspoon’s talent agent husband Jim Toth was pulled over under suspicion of driving while intoxicated, and Witherspoon was arrested for disobeying the officer's orders to stay in the vehicle, according to the police report. They were both taken to jail and released on bond around 3:30 a.m.

Witherspoon has plead no contest to the charge of obstruction of a person, while Toth plead guilty to first offense DUI. The actress was not present in court for the proceedings, and her lawyer Bruce Morris entered the plea, E! News reports. She will pay a total fine of $313 including court costs. Her husband, however, was in the courtroom on Thursday and – while not facing jail time – must perform 40 hours of community service, attend an alcohol education program and a Mothers Against Drunk Driving class, pay a fine, and has been placed on probation for 12 months.

"I have no idea what I was saying that night. I saw him arresting my husband and I literally panicked," Witherspoon admitted on Good Morning America on Thursday. "I said all kinds of crazy things. I told him I was pregnant. I'm not pregnant!" The actress may not have been behaving out of the ordinary, but her apologies and handling of the situation after the fact were mature and sincere.

LINDSAY LOHAN DISOBEYS COURT ORDER AND LEAVES REHAB

Update: TMZ is reporting that Lohan is now seeking treatment at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. She reportedly checked in late Thursday. Supposedly, police have backed down on the arrest warrant that they wanted to issue, but the DA still has to get a judge to sign off on Betty Ford as the location for Lohan's treatment.

Before: Lindsay Lohan is in a lot of trouble. The 26-year-old The Canyons star was supposed to check into a rehab facility, but when she got there Thursday, she reportedly decided that she didn't want to go inside. 

According to TMZ, Lohan rolled up to Morningside Recovery Thursday morning, but she never got out of her car to check in. The car reportedly left the treatment center with Lohan still in tow. She then reportedly headed to go shopping at a electronics store, according to New York'sDaily News.

Lohan was originally sentenced to take on a rehab program by a court order. She was supposed to be placed in a New York facility, but then reportedly decided that she wanted to go to treatment in California, hence her alleged selection of Morningside Recovery. 

But by Thursday, Lohan was reportedly not satisfied with Morningside Recovery, and her camp was supposedly still negotiating terms for her stay at the facility. Reports also suggest that when Lohan arrived, the mass amount of media and paparazzi on the premises made her feel unsafe at the facility.

The Daily News reports that Lohan then decided that she wanted to hop a plane to NYC, but that her father Michael Lohan convinced her to stay in California. At this point, it's not clear where Lohan is, but TMZ reports that if she is not checked into Morningside Recovery by dawn Friday morning, there will most likely be a warrant out for her arrest.

I mean, the whole fiesta sure did have the trappings of a wedding-type ceremony: there were vows exchanged, a cake, the company of good friends and family, and even an oh-so elegant a camouflage gown to round out the day. According to People, the duo are mums the word as to what the party was all about, but the ever-vigilant sleuths at TMZhave obtained what they allege to be an invitation to the big day, touted as a wedding and also a "taped event," signaling that it won't be long before we see this family fart their way towards wedded bliss. No word as to whether or not the family's staple meal, Sketti, was served.

The couple have been together for nine years, after they met in an online chat room, because of course they did. Regardless, mazels all around for quite possibly the happiest/most loving family in America. Just a word to the wse: maybe don't wear that camo gown around a bunch of potentially drunk hunter types after dark. You're just asking for trouble, then, June.

SLAYER GUITARIST JEFF HANNEMAN DEAD AT 49

Jeff Hanneman — lead guitarist for the thrash metal band Slayer — has passed away from liver failure at the age of 49.

The band’s publicist released a statement following Hanneman’s death: “Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away at about 11AM this morning near his Southern California home. He was 49. Hanneman was in an area hospital when he suffered liver failure... and will be sorely missed."

Back in 2011, the guitarist ended up in the hospital after he was bitten by a spider and nearly lost his arm from the bite. Hanneman fell seriously ill and was placed in a medically induced coma and underwent several operations to remove the dead and dying tissue from his arm. As a result, Hanneman was pulled out of Slayer’s 2012 tour dates.

Hanneman co-founded Slayer with Kerry King back in 1981 and their first breakthrough came five years later in 1986 with the release of landmark album Reign in Blood.
