SNEAK PEEK AT THE MET'S 'PUNK: CHAOS TO COUTURE' EXHIBITION

Though Monday's ultra exclusive Met Gala is for the Beyoncés,Giseles, and Anna Wintours of the world, we got a sneak peek at The Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art's PUNK: Chaos to Couture exhibit. Featuring hundreds of high fashion pieces from designers like Alexander McQueen, Dolce and Gabbana, Rodarte, and Viviene Westwood (to name a few), the exhibit examines punk's impact on high fashion from the movement's birth in the 1970s through its continuing influence today.
Click through the gallery to see a preview of our eight favorite moments in the exhibit that follows punk from the dirty bathroom of CBGB and streets of 1970s London to the runways of New York and Milan and even Duchess Kate Middleton's closet.
